Hydrohertz has unveiled a new battery cooling technology, Dectravalve, which promises to significantly reduce electric vehicle (EV) charging times. The UK-based company's innovation allows for precise
thermal management within battery packs, addressing uneven heating issues that typically slow down charging. The Dectravalve system independently manages multiple cooling zones within a battery, maintaining consistent temperatures and preventing overheating. This technology has been tested with Warwick Manufacturing Group, demonstrating its ability to keep battery cells within optimal temperature ranges during high-power charging. As a result, charging times could be reduced by up to 68%, potentially allowing a 10-80% charge in just 10 minutes.
