The US Army is actively engaging with industry partners to explore key technological advancements for the upcoming Intelligence Discovery Experiment (IDX) 2026. The focus is on enhancing intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) technologies

The Army Futures and Concepts Command is particularly interested in leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to increase efficiency and reduce latency in targeting and decision-making processes. The planning phase for IDX is set to continue until April 2026, with the experiment scheduled for June 7-13, 2026. The Army has issued a request for information (RFI) seeking white paper submissions to address technical challenges across major intelligence disciplines and service-wide strategies.
