Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has appointed Cory Cox to serve as a Special Justice on the Arkansas Supreme Court. This appointment is temporary, filling the vacancy left by Justice Barbara W. Webb, who is currently unable to fulfill her duties.
Chief Justice Karen Baker certified Justice Webb's temporary incapacitation. Cox's tenure as Special Justice will last until December 31, 2026, or until Justice Webb returns to the bench, whichever occurs first.
