Donna Helene Tomei, a beloved member of the Gurnee, Illinois community, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on May 25, 1935, in Rockford, Illinois, Donna was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She attended
the University of Illinois, where she met her husband Joseph, with whom she shared 68 years of marriage. Together, they owned and operated the Tomei Insurance Agency, a cornerstone of the Gurnee community for nearly fifty years. Donna was known for her love of traveling, reading, gardening, golf, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, four sons, eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. A visitation service is scheduled for December 8, 2025, at Warren Cemetery & Funeral Home in Gurnee.
