Embraer has initiated the construction of a new Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility at Perot Field Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, Texas. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on October
20, marking nearly a year since the project was first announced. The facility is expected to open by 2027 and will increase Embraer's capacity to serve its E-Jet customers in the U.S. by 53%. The expansion is part of Embraer's strategy to support the growing demand for its E170/175 series aircraft, which are popular among U.S. regional carriers due to scope clause constraints. The new facility represents a $70 million investment and is anticipated to create approximately 250 skilled aviation jobs in Texas.
