David Welton Reed, a resident of Clarksburg, West Virginia, passed away on August 6, 2026, at the age of 76. A veteran of the United States Navy, David served aboard the USS Kilauea and was known for his dedication to his hobbies and community. He owned
the Hobby Stop in Bridgeport and was an active member of the Clarksburg Model Railroad Club. David was also passionate about Civil War history, participating in local roundtables and collecting artifacts. His family has expressed gratitude to the staff at the Clarksburg Veterans Care Facility for their care. Memorial gifts in his honor can be made to the Rich Mountain Museum or the Clarksburg Model Railroad Club.
