A new art fair, the London Invitational, is set to open at the former US embassy on Grosvenor Square in London next year. This event is a spin-off of the Dallas Invitational, a boutique satellite fair that
runs alongside the Dallas Art Fair. Organized by Dallas dealer James Cope and collector Jessica Nowitzki, the London edition will coincide with Frieze week and will be hosted at the Chancery Rosewood Hotel, a luxury hotel in the mid-century Modern building designed by architect Eero Saarinen. The embassy vacated the site in Mayfair in 2018, allowing for its redevelopment into a hotel. The London Invitational will feature around 15 galleries from cities such as London, New York, and Los Angeles, offering a tightly curated experience as an alternative to larger fairs.
