Renewable energy developer X-ELIO has commenced operations at the Liberty Energy Project in Dayton, Texas, which combines 72 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity with 60 MW of battery storage. This project will supply 48 MW of electricity to BASF's Freeport manufacturing site under a 12-year Power Purchase Agreement. The Freeport site, established in 1958, produces raw materials for consumer goods and employs over 800 people. This marks X-ELIO's first combined solar and storage project in the U.S., reflecting its expansion plans in the American market.
