The University of Minnesota, in collaboration with North Wind, has received nearly $50 million in funding to develop the Minnesota Aerospace Complex at UMore Park. This facility aims to advance the United States' capabilities in supersonic ground testing,
modeling, and simulation. The project is expected to cost around $191.5 million and create 40 new jobs. Additionally, the University of St. Thomas has been awarded $5 million to establish the Minnesota Semiconductor Artificial Intelligence Hub, which will focus on improving semiconductor manufacturing.
