What's Happening?
A team of six UK dentists participated in a ten-day outreach project in Namibia, organized by the charity Mobile Smiles. The initiative aimed to provide dental care to remote and underserved communities, transforming various local spaces into makeshift
dental clinics. Over the course of the project, the team treated more than 1,200 patients, performing extractions and restorations, and providing oral hygiene education. The outreach also included distributing sporting equipment and educational materials, fostering a broader community connection.
