from the USS Iwo Jima on February 7, 2026, and was declared deceased on February 10 after an extensive 72-hour search and rescue operation. The operation was supported by National Technical Means and included hundreds of flight hours and extensive aviation support. Oforah, an infantry rifleman, enlisted in the Marine Corps in October 2023 and was deployed with the 22nd MEU aboard the USS Iwo Jima at the time of his death.
