What's Happening?
Grandweld Shipyards, a UAE-based shipbuilder, has been awarded a contract by Bahri Logistics, the logistics arm of Saudi Arabia's national shipping company Bahri, to design and build two offshore support vessels (OSV). These vessels are intended for operations
at Ras Tanura Port, one of the world's largest energy export hubs. The contract highlights Grandweld's capabilities in vessel design and shipbuilding, as well as Bahri Logistics' expertise in offshore operations. The vessels will be equipped with advanced navigation, communication, and safety systems, and will support various offshore activities such as crew transfers, maintenance, and emergency response.
