Kathleen (Kathy) Rauter, née Reddington, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026, at the age of 80. Born in Chicago, she was a long-time resident of Mokena, Illinois, and formerly lived in Homer Glen for 47 years. She was preceded in death by her husband
of 54 years, Kenneth Rauter, and other family members. Kathleen is survived by her daughter Kimberly Murphy and several siblings, in-laws, and extended family members. A memorial visitation is scheduled at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in Frankfort, Illinois, on June 13, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a memorial service at 2 p.m. The family has requested donations to the Parkinson's Foundation or the Lung Cancer Research Foundation in lieu of flowers.
