What's Happening?
A new free Wi-Fi hotspot has been established at the Gorely volcano in Kamchatka, providing internet access within a 200-meter radius of the caldera. This initiative, implemented by the mining company Areal and the provider InterKamService, aims to enhance
the experience for tourists visiting the area. The Wi-Fi can be accessed via a QR code located at the zero kilometer mark from the village of Termalny. Plans are underway to expand the network to include additional points along the ascent to Gorely and on the shore of Lake Tolmacheva. The strategic location of the Wi-Fi hotspot serves as a gateway to other popular destinations, such as the Mutnovsky and Opala volcanoes.
