What's Happening?
The Cai Mep terminal in Vietnam, owned by Atlantic Gulf & Pacific LNG (AG&P LNG), has started delivering regasified liquefied natural gas (LNG) to the Phu My Power Complex. This marks a significant milestone as the terminal becomes the first private facility
to supply LNG to the complex. The gas is transported through a pipeline to the 900-megawatt Phu My 2.1 & 2.1E power plant, operated by a subsidiary of the Vietnam Electricity Corporation. The terminal, located in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, has a capacity of 3 million metric tons per year and began operations last year.
