PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind), Advanced Energy Solutions (AES), and RINA have formed a strategic partnership to accelerate the development of biomass pyrolysis technology in Indonesia. This collaboration
was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed during The Carbon Digital Conference 2025. The initiative aims to enhance the commercial-scale production of bio-energy, bio-methanol, and bio-char, leveraging Indonesia's abundant biomass resources. Biomass pyrolysis involves treating organic materials like agricultural waste and crop residues at high temperatures without oxygen, producing bio-oil, syngas, and bio-char. Rekind will lead engineering and technology integration, AES will provide advanced pyrolysis technology, and RINA will offer technical consultancy. This partnership seeks to support Indonesia's clean energy transition and circular economy goals.
