PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind), Advanced Energy Solutions (AES), and RINA have formed a strategic partnership to accelerate the development of biomass pyrolysis technology in Indonesia. This collaboration
was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed during The Carbon Digital Conference 2025. The initiative aims to enhance the commercial-scale production of bio-energy, bio-methanol, and bio-char, leveraging Indonesia's abundant biomass resources. Biomass pyrolysis involves treating organic materials like agricultural waste and crop residues at high temperatures without oxygen, producing bio-oil, syngas, and bio-char. Rekind will lead engineering and technology integration, AES will provide advanced pyrolysis technology, and RINA will offer technical consultancy.
