The Chace-Cory House, an early 18th-century house museum located at Tiverton Four Corners, has commenced its summer season, offering guided tours and special exhibits that emphasize the community's colonial and military history. The museum, which serves
as the headquarters for the Tiverton Historical Society, is open for tours from 2 to 4:30 p.m. throughout the summer. Visitors can explore period rooms furnished with early American antiques and view documents and artifacts related to Tiverton's past. Special exhibits marking the nation's semiquincentennial are on display, featuring items such as a silk flag flown by George Washington's Rhode Island Infantry, a rare printing of the Declaration of Independence, and a map of the 1778 Battle of Rhode Island. The museum shop offers various historical items for purchase, including books, guidebooks, and reproductions of early maps.
