What's Happening?
An Israeli debate and knowledge team from Ehad Ha’Am Middle School in Petah Tikva has achieved significant success at the World Scholar’s Cup competition held at Yale University in the United States. The team, led by Vardina Oss and coach Yaffa Gluska,
consisted of 15 members who represented Israel among 2,500 students from 64 countries. The competition included participants from nations such as Australia, Indonesia, the United States, and many others. The Israeli team excelled by winning third place globally in the Team Challenge category, securing third place overall worldwide, and achieving first-place wins in debate and other academic areas. In total, the team brought home 10 trophies and numerous gold medals. The students underwent intensive training for over six months in advanced-level academic English to compete against native English speakers in various challenges.
