The Nimsdai Foundation is set to open a Porter’s House in Lobuche, Nepal, in May 2026, providing safe and dignified accommodation for porters supporting the Everest Base Camp trekking industry. This initiative, backed by a $500,000 investment, aims to improve
the living conditions of porters who endure extreme weather and overcrowded conditions. The facility will include solar-powered energy systems, modern sanitation, and a medical unit, accommodating up to 100 porters at a time.
