Highmark Health Options, in collaboration with Old Man Rivers mission and Parkersburg High School, organized a free farmers market in Parkersburg, West Virginia. The event, part of Highmark's Farm-to-Family program, distributed thousands of pounds of fresh
produce to Wood County residents without any income requirements. This initiative is one of five planned food distributions in West Virginia this year, aiming to address food insecurity, which is a significant concern among Highmark's members. The produce, sourced from local producers, was distributed to over 100 families within the first hour of the event.
