William 'Bill' Carroll Gooch Jr., a long-time resident of Elmhurst, Illinois, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on October 21, 2025. Born on December 30, 1936, in Clayton, Missouri, Gooch was a beloved
figure in his community. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Barbara L. Gooch, and his children and grandchildren. Gooch's life will be celebrated with a visitation on October 26, 2025, at the Elmhurst Community Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service on October 27, 2025, at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Elmhurst Children’s Assistance Foundation and the Elmhurst Historical Museum.
