What's Happening?
The Union Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare is set to participate in BioFach India 2025, a major organic trade fair, from August 30 to September 1 at the India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida. The event will highlight organic products from North-East India, developed under the Mission Organic Value Chain Development for the North Eastern Region (MOVCDNER). Over 27 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) will present a variety of organic produce, including cardamom, kiwi, pineapple, ginger, turmeric, king chilli, whole spices, rice, millets, and fresh and processed fruits, some of which are Geographical Indication (GI) products. This initiative aims to connect these FPOs with national and international buyers, traders, and industry experts, fostering new market opportunities and partnerships.
