Matthew Graziano, the executive director of the NYPD's Health & Wellness Division, has resigned following an internal investigation that revealed he was allegedly working another job while claiming to be performing his NYPD duties. The investigation by
the Internal Affairs Bureau found that Graziano was not in New York during some of the times he claimed to be working for the NYPD. The city is seeking reimbursement for the alleged stolen time, and it remains unclear if Graziano will face criminal charges. The Health and Wellness Section was established in 2019 to address mental health issues among officers.
