What's Happening?
The GLEAM Network, in partnership with Women in Restaurant Leadership (WiRL), is launching a new mentorship program aimed at empowering women in the restaurant, foodservice, and hospitality industries.
The program, set to begin in February 2026, will pair emerging female leaders with seasoned mentors for a six-month structured mentorship experience. The initiative is designed to help women develop leadership skills, expand professional networks, and gain confidence for career advancement.
Why It's Important?
This mentorship program addresses the gender gap in leadership within the restaurant industry by providing women with the tools and support needed to advance their careers. By fostering a community of female leaders, the program aims to create a more equitable and inclusive industry. The initiative also highlights the importance of mentorship in professional development, particularly for women who may face unique challenges in climbing the corporate ladder.
What's Next?
The program will officially launch at the WiRL Together Summit in Charleston, South Carolina, in February 2026. As the program progresses, its impact on participants' career trajectories and the broader industry will be closely watched. Success stories from the program could inspire similar initiatives in other sectors, further promoting gender equity in leadership roles.
