The Washoe County Sheriff's Office is investigating an accidental drowning that occurred at Sand Harbor. Deputies responded to a report of a possible water rescue at the North Sand Harbor boat ramp around 8 p.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, they found an unresponsive
32-year-old man being brought to shore by bystanders. Despite immediate life-saving efforts by deputies and continued resuscitation by medical personnel, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is currently under investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the drowning.
