What's Happening?
The Saskatchewan Next Gen Agriculture Mentorship Program has announced its seventh cohort, consisting of eight mentees paired with experienced mentors. This 18-month program aims to prepare participants for leadership roles in Saskatchewan's agriculture
sector by providing hands-on experience in governance, advocacy, business development, media relations, and financial management. The program is funded through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership, a five-year investment aimed at strengthening Canada's agriculture and agri-food sector. Federal Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister Heath MacDonald and Saskatchewan Agriculture Minister David Marit have emphasized the importance of mentorship in building a strong agricultural sector.
