J. Douglas Martner, a former business owner and community member from Bolingbrook, Illinois, passed away at the age of 88. Born in Aurora, Illinois, Martner was known for his ownership of Domar Industries, a government contracting and manufacturing company,
during the 1970s and 1980s. After selling the business, he worked at Walmart before retiring. Martner is survived by his sister, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A visitation and funeral service will be held on July 1, 2026, at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, Illinois, with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Hinkley.
