The World Health Organization (WHO) has prequalified a multi-dose vial version of the maternal vaccine against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). This approval is a significant step towards protecting more infants globally, particularly in lower-income

Pfizer initially released the single-dose maternal RSV vaccine, Abrysvo, in the United States in 2023, with funding from the Gates Foundation supporting the development of the multi-dose version.
