What's Happening?
More than 500 Rwandan refugees have been repatriated from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to Rwanda. The repatriation was conducted under an agreement between Rwanda, the DRC, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), ensuring
the voluntary return of refugees to their home country. The returnees were transported to the Nyarushishi Transit Center in Rwanda's Rusizi District before reintegration into their communities. The UNHCR is supporting the repatriation and reintegration efforts, helping the refugees rebuild their lives and reunite with their families.
