Born in Augusta in 1944, Marks was a graduate of The University of Georgia and served as a Medic in the United States Army Reserves. He began his career with Marks Surgical Supplies and later founded a hardwood flooring business. Marks was actively involved in several local organizations, including The Augusta Country Club and The Church of the Good Shepherd. Known for his love of the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, activities that brought him great joy. A memorial service is scheduled for October 6, 2025, at The Church of the Good Shepherd.
