What's Happening?
NASA's SPHEREx space telescope has successfully completed its first infrared map of the entire sky, capturing images in 102 different colors. This significant achievement was accomplished through observations
made between May and December 2025. The images reveal a variety of cosmic phenomena, including hot hydrogen gas and cosmic dust, represented in visible colors for human interpretation. The Milky Way galaxy is prominently featured, illuminated by billions of stars. The SPHEREx mission, managed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, aims to enhance understanding of the universe's formation and evolution.
