Lawrence A. Carter, Jr., affectionately known as 'Rick', passed away on January 5, 2026, at the age of 81. He was a resident of Suffield, Connecticut, and had previously lived in Pittsford, New York, and Savannah,
Georgia. Rick was the beloved husband of the late Patricia A. Carter, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage. He is survived by his sons, James and Jonathan Carter, their spouses, and his grandchildren. A private service will be held at a later date to honor his memory. The family has requested that those wishing to pay their respects consider planting a tree in his memory.
