Amazon MGM Studios, Warner Bros. Television, and Alloy Entertainment are collaborating on a new YA series titled 'The Davenports,' inspired by Krystal Marquis' bestselling novel. The series, set in 1910 America, follows the lives of the Davenport family, one of the few Black families of immense wealth and status. The show will explore themes of love and societal expectations through the experiences of the Davenport daughters, Olivia and Helen. Emmy-nominated Sonja Warfield and Susan Fales-Hill, known for their work on 'The Gilded Age' and 'And Just Like That,' will write and executive produce the series.
