What's Happening?
Nissan is collaborating with Little Electric Energy to launch an ultra-fast EV charging solution at the Port of Vigo, Spain, using repurposed Nissan LEAF batteries. The Green Charge Flex system utilizes 12 LEAF 30kWh battery packs to create a 300kWh Energy Storage
System, supporting ultra-fast DC and AC charging. This initiative is co-funded by the European Union and Spain's national energy agency, aiming to enhance grid capacity and promote sustainable energy solutions.

This project demonstrates the potential for repurposing electric vehicle batteries to support sustainable energy infrastructure. By extending the life of EV batteries beyond their initial use, Nissan and its partners are contributing to a circular economy and reducing environmental impact.
