Two individuals from New York, Brittany A. Howard and Kasheem M. Williams, were arrested at a Costco in South Windsor, Connecticut, for allegedly using fraudulent credit cards to purchase merchandise. The South Windsor Police Department reported that
the suspects were apprehended after attempting to pay at the self-checkout with fake cards. Both individuals were found to have active out-of-state warrants. Williams had a warrant from Suffolk County, New York, for charges including burglary and assault, while Howard had a warrant from Hudson County, New Jersey, for credit card theft. The suspects face additional charges of payment card theft, larceny, identity theft, and conspiracy. They were held on $250,000 surety bonds and were scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court.
