Beverly Jane Nelson, a long-time resident of Gibson City, Illinois, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on October 25, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. She was surrounded by her family
at the time of her passing. Beverly was born on November 10, 1940, in Clinton, Illinois, and was raised by her mother and stepfather. She was married twice, first to Robert Hendricks and later to Donald O. Nelson, who preceded her in death. Beverly is survived by her two sons, Charles and Kenneth Hendricks, four grandchildren, a sister, a brother, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was a dedicated member of the Gibson City United Methodist Church for over sixty years and was actively involved in various community organizations, including the Jr. Women’s Club and the Gibson City American Legion Auxiliary.
