Vietnam has unveiled a new national radio frequency master plan, reserving key spectrum bands for 6G, Wi-Fi 7, and satellite Internet. The plan aligns with international standards from the 2023 World Radiocommunication Conference, updating 65 frequency bands. The 3.4–3.560 GHz and 6.425–7.125 GHz bands are now designated for International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT), supporting next-generation technologies. The 600 MHz band, freed by the shutdown of terrestrial digital TV, is reserved for mobile use, aiding 5G and 6G rollouts in rural areas. The plan also enhances satellite communication capacity with new allocations for Vinasat geostationary satellites.
