What's Happening?
Bite Studios, led by co-founders Veronika Kant and William Lundgren, has introduced its Spring 2026 Ready-to-Wear collection. The collection emphasizes summer themes over traditional city styles, featuring
less tailoring than typically expected for working women. A standout piece is a white suit crafted from an organic silk/wool blend, developed over a year, showcasing a unique curved seam design. The collection also explores transparency and lightness through unexpected sheer plaid fabrics and a daffodil yellow dress with doubled material on the torso. Pleats on sleeves add a sense of motion, particularly highlighted in a black satin trench coat with extra volume at the back, resembling a superhero cape.
Why It's Important?
The collection's focus on innovative fabric use and design reflects a shift in fashion towards sustainability and creativity. By utilizing organic materials and developing unique fabric blends, Bite Studios is contributing to the growing trend of eco-friendly fashion. This approach not only appeals to environmentally conscious consumers but also sets a precedent for other designers to explore sustainable practices. The emphasis on lightness and motion in design may influence future fashion trends, encouraging designers to prioritize comfort and functionality alongside aesthetics.
