A consortium of banks, including NORD/LB, Rabobank, and Siemens Bank, has finalized a €135 million ($160 million) financing package for a renewable energy portfolio in Aragón, Spain. This portfolio, acquired
by ENCAVIS, a prominent independent power producer in Europe, comprises three wind farms and two solar farms. The financing arrangement includes a €117 million term facility, a €5 million debt service reserve facility, and a €13 million letter of credit facility. The wind farms will utilize 24 Nordex turbines, while the solar farms will feature 98,000 bifacial ground-mounted solar panels. Once operational, the portfolio is expected to generate 467 GWh of clean electricity annually. This initiative aligns with Spain's National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan, which aims to install 62 GW of wind power and 76 GW of solar power by 2030.
