AeroVironment (AV) and Applied Intuition have announced a collaboration to enhance the capabilities of the Mayhem 10 drone, a new unmanned aerial system. The partnership aims to integrate Applied Intuition's Acuity ISR/Strike software into the drone, enabling
it to operate autonomously in swarms or 'hunter-killer' teams under a single operator's direction. The Mayhem 10, launched in April, is designed to switch between various missions, including intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, electronic warfare, and precision strikes, without changing the air vehicle. The drone can carry a 10-pound payload, fly over 60 miles, and operate in GPS-denied environments. The collaboration is marketed towards the Army's Launched Effects program.
