Etihad Airways has announced a major expansion of its Airbus widebody fleet at the Dubai Airshow, including the acquisition of 15 Airbus A330neos. The Abu Dhabi-based carrier has placed a firm order for
six A330-900s and is leasing nine from Avolon. This move secures some of the last remaining early widebody delivery slots. Etihad also increased its orders for A350-1000s and A350Fs, planning to invest $10 billion in new aircraft over the next five years. The expansion aligns with Etihad's strategy to grow its fleet to 200 aircraft and carry 37 million passengers by 2030.
