The Next Gen Agriculture Mentorship Program in Saskatchewan has announced its seventh cohort, pairing eight mentees with experienced mentors to foster leadership in the agriculture sector. This 18-month program, supported by the Government of Saskatchewan and
Canadian Western Agribition, aims to provide participants with hands-on experience in various aspects of agriculture, including governance, advocacy, and financial management. Federal Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister Heath MacDonald highlighted the importance of mentorship in strengthening the industry, while Saskatchewan Agriculture Minister David Marit credited the program with developing leadership skills in the province. The program is funded through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership, a $3.5-billion investment aimed at enhancing Canada's agriculture sector.
