and Margaret Koenig. She moved to Austin in 1996 with her husband, John Harmon McCarty, who predeceased her. Shirley is survived by her children, Patricia Stoneham and Barry McCarty, and was predeceased by her son Brian McCarty. She leaves behind grandchildren Megan Cullen, Kevin Stoneham, and Timothy Stoneham, as well as great-grandchildren Benjamin and Meredith Cullen, Madelyn McCarty, and Elenore Sanchez Stoneham. A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday at Hallowell & James Funeral Home in Downers Grove, Illinois, followed by a Funeral Mass on Thursday at Sacred Heart Church in Lombard, Illinois.
