Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) has introduced a Film and TV Workforce Training Program aimed at preparing Illinois residents for careers in the media industry. Supported by a grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic
Opportunity, the program offers paid, hands-on training in SIUE’s newly renovated TV studio and control room. Participants will gain experience in production, set operations, and crew collaboration through 80-hour sessions designed to provide real-world production environment exposure. The program is open to Illinois residents aged 18 and older, with sessions starting in March 2026. Successful participants will receive a monetary stipend.
