Luigi Rossetti, a former police officer, and his wife Tina Digiorgio from Peterborough have been awarded a Royal Humane Society Award for their courageous actions in saving an 81-year-old man's life following a car crash. On December 30, the couple heard a loud crash outside their home and discovered the man had suffered a medical episode, causing him to crash into a garden. They quickly intervened, with Rossetti performing CPR for ten minutes until emergency services arrived. The man has since made a full recovery. The award was presented by Det Ch Supt Jon Hutchinson, who praised the couple's remarkable courage and selflessness.
