The World Meteorological Organization (WMO), established in 1950 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, plays a crucial role in international scientific cooperation for weather and climate forecasting. Comprising 193 member states and territories,
the WMO's primary mission is to standardize observation methods and facilitate the exchange of meteorological and climate data among national meteorological services.
