A five-car collision on Interstate 85 in Jackson County, Georgia, resulted in the death of one driver and left another critically injured. The Georgia State Patrol reported that the incident occurred when a truck driven by Antonio Burke, 52, was following
too closely and collided with a Toyota Corolla and a Nissan Altima. The driver of the Corolla, Jackson Marcano, 43, was pronounced dead at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. The driver of the Altima was also taken to the same medical facility and is in critical condition. Two additional vehicles were involved in the crash but sustained only minor damage. Burke has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide and following too closely.
