James Mark Cassidy, a beloved member of the Palatine, IL community, passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Murphy, and his children, Micaela Cassidy, Beth Nabors, and the late Daniel Cassidy. Cassidy was
a cherished grandfather to several grandchildren and a devoted brother to his siblings. A visitation is scheduled for December 16, 2025, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Inverness, followed by a Mass. Interment will take place at All Saints Catholic Cemetery. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to The ARC Baltimore or JOURNEYS|The Road. Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home.
