Mr. West is survived by his devoted nephew, Harvey West; his wife, Carolyn, and their three sons; his ex-wife, Classie West, and stepdaughter, Allison Samuels; as well as a host of beloved nephews, nieces, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Mae and Harvey West Sr., and each of his 10 siblings. Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, South Carolina, with military honors.
