What's Happening?
The Jerusalem College of Technology recently hosted its 10th annual Great Minds Hackathon, where 85 students from various backgrounds, including those from the United States, participated in developing innovative solutions to industry challenges. The event
featured over 20 challenges across sectors such as HealthTech, AI, and education. The top prize was awarded to ReMind, a HealthTech platform designed to reduce dropout rates in youth therapy by creating a seamless connection between therapists and families. The platform uses gamification to engage children in their therapeutic routines and provides data-driven insights for clinicians. Other notable projects included SmartTest, an AI tool for grading exams, and The Roots, an AI agent for venture capital due diligence.

The hackathon highlights the growing importance of technology in addressing real-world problems, particularly in the field of mental health. ReMind's victory underscores the potential of digital solutions to improve therapeutic outcomes for young people, a demographic that often faces challenges in accessing consistent mental health care.
